On a winter day, a young boy visits a strange antique shop. The eerie shopkeeper tries to interest the boy in his personal collection of snow globes. The boy is polite, but clearly bored by the objects. Then suddenly, the boy finds himself trapped inside one of the globes, another prisoner in the shopkeeper's collection. The boy must find a way to escape, or remain a trapped forever!

Grades 4-7 When young Noah Urbain walks into an antique shop, he unknowingly walks into a trap set by the strange storekeeper. In this story, told from two perspectives ( evil and good ), the storekeeper traps Noah in a snow globe, then reveals himself to be an alien who has been collecting specimens in different snow globes. Noah thinks he has found a way to escape his snow globe and help a man trapped in another one on the shelf, but the story ends with a chilling Twilight Zone twist. The evil perspective of the story runs at the top of each page in red tones, while the good perspective runs at the bottom in blue. Back matter includes a visual glossary, questions to help the reader spot visual cues in the story, and pages that show some of the steps in creating the book. The ultralow word count (some pages are entirely silent; others have only a word or two of dialogue) and suspenseful action of this title in the new Good vs. Evil series will help lure in reluctant readers.(Reprinted with permission of Booklist, copyright 2011, American Library Association.)
