Jack Liffey lost his job, and then his wife and daughter.
All he had left was his ability to track down missing children, so he set up as a detective specializing in kidnappings.
A woman from Mexico shows up with only a few words of English, and when he sets off to find her daughter in the frightening urban nightmare of L.A., he is sucked into a violent world of developers and local politicos. Liffey soon discovers that nothing is what it seems...before long his search becomes a fight for redemption and for life itself in a world gone mad around him.
